Originating from the town of Mrirt in the Moroccan Middle Atlas, Mrirt rugs are exceptionally soft and thick, made from particularly soft wool. They are hand-woven using ancestral methods, then washed and brushed several times, giving them a particularly soft, fur-like feel.

Like all Moroccan rugs, they have bangs on one side only: the women who weave these exceptional pieces make knots when they start weaving, and bangs on the side where they stop.

Care instructions:

Your rug may lose pile for two weeks after purchase. This is quite normal, as the wool threads get caught during weaving.

Regular maintenance with a dry deck brush, rubbing gently to remove dust and dirt.

Don't hesitate to turn it over and shake it regularly.
In the event of a stain, clean immediately with water and Marseille soap.
